Fanzi Privacy Policy

Fanzi (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy and processes your personal data carefully and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This policy explains what data we collect, why, who we share it with, and what rights you have.
1. Who are we?
Fanzi is the data controller for your personal data.

2. What data do we collect?
Fanzi does not require an account or login. You can vote anonymously. We process the following data:

We do not collect any payment data or sensitive special categories of personal data. We do not require or store your name, and voting does not require creating an account.
3. Why do we process this data?

To the extent we share aggregated data with third parties (see section 4), this is done exclusively in anonymised or aggregated form, so that it cannot be traced back to an individual.
4. Who do we share your data with?
We do not sell your individual personal data. To deliver the service, we use the following processors:
- Supabase — database and storage (servers in the EU, Frankfurt)
- Vercel — hosting and delivery of the website
- Cloudflare — domain registration, DNS and bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
In addition, we may share aggregated, anonymised insights with business partners such as media companies and sports brands. This never involves data that identifies you as an individual.
5. Transfers outside the EU
Your data is stored on servers within the EU (Frankfurt). We do not currently transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA.
6. How long do we keep your data?
We do not keep your data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:
- Vote and support data: for the duration of the tournament and afterwards in aggregated, anonymised form.
- Email address (if subscribed): until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Technical/analytical data: a maximum of 12 months.
7. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including access restriction at the database level (Row Level Security) and encrypted connections.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- access your data;
- have your data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- have your data transferred (data portability);
- object to certain processing;
- withdraw given consent (e.g. unsubscribe from email updates).
Because voting is anonymous and not tied to an account, we may not always be able to identify or locate specific vote data associated with you. If you subscribed with your email address, we can act on requests related to that email.

9. Cookies and tracking
Fanzi uses functional cookies and limited analytical techniques to make the site work and improve it. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
For bot protection we use Cloudflare Turnstile (silent mode). Cloudflare processes limited technical data (such as IP address and browser characteristics). See the Cloudflare Turnstile privacy policy for more information.
10. Changes
We may amend this privacy policy from time to time. The most current version is always available on this page, with the date of the last change at the top.
